So I am leaving Polyvore today, midnight tonight to be exact. I have been thinking about doing this for almost a month now, but couldn't bring myself to it until today. An amazing anon on here I talked to for around two hours gave me some great advice. She truely is amazing. I hope she knows I'm talking about her.
I've been on this website for 8 months, and it has been fun, for the most part. And this isn't one of those 'get ___ number of likes and I'll stay' I'm leaving and I'm not changing my mind. I have a few reasons for leaving.
Recently I have been coming on less and less. Why? Because I've been getting tired of this website. Polyvore is like a fridge for me, in a way. I come on Polyvore, check to see if there is anything good, go offline, then come back on later. It's been getting repetitive, for me at least. I've lost a lot of friends, a lot of good friends as well.
Exams are coming up soon. I need to be focused on my schoolwork. I don't want to be going to summer school. Polyvore would just be another distraction for me and I don't need it. My marks aren't the greatest, they've also dropped this year. I'm not blaming this entirely on Polyvore, but I know it's a main reason. I blame myself as well, of course.
Summer is coming up soon, I don't want to be spending my entire break online, or worrying that I need to come online to answer pm's and such. This year, Polyvore did kind of take over my life and I want it back.
I don't consider to be a good anon. I don't think I'm an anon all you amazing people deserve. I don't think I'm cut out to be an anon, I should have realized this before. This is not to get attention, this is actually what I believe, despite what some people have told me.
I feel like people wouldn't really care or notice if I left. I pm a lot of people, and they just don't pm me back for some reason. I don't think they realize that it does hurt. Or when you know somebody is online, they just don't pm you back. Then they call you their best friends. It gets me thinking who my friends really are. I know I have a few friends who are always there for me and I appreciate them so much. More then they'll ever know.
And if you were too lazy to read all of that, I'll sum it up for you:
- I lost interest in Polyvore
- Exams are coming up
- I don't want to spend my whole summer on here
- I don't consider myself a good enough anon
- I don't think people would care/notice if I left

I should be sad, writing this. Telling everybody that I'm leaving, but I'm not. If that's not a sign that my time on this website is up, I'm not sure what is.
